Four people are confirmed dead after a small plane crashed in south central Kentucky.

The single engine plane went down Sunday near Glasgow, just 80 miles short of reaching the Lake Cumberland Regional Airport.

Local police said three victims were pronounced dead at the scene, and a fourth later died at a hospital.

The names of the victims have yet to be released, and it’s not known where the crew was coming from.

The plane reportedly flew into tree tops before crashing in a wooded area.

The FAA halted its investigation Monday morning due to rainy conditions and lack of light.
