John McCain is absolutely no fan of President Trump, that is for certain, but the lengths at which the aging Senator is willing to go to prove it are absolutely incredible.

From the start of the 2016 election, John McCain has been standing up to fight Donald Trump every step of the way.  For his part, Trump has done some fighting back, calling into question the famed POW’s service record in an unseemly attack on the veteran and politician.  The tiff hasn’t simmered at all since President Trump was sworn in back in January either, with McCain consistently disagreeing with the President on nearly every possible issue.

McCain, for what it’s worth, has a bit of a reputation for his “evolving” views; a fact evidenced by nearly every accusation against him during his unfruitful presidential campaign of 2008 in which he was constantly harassed for his flip-flopping ways.

Now, the longtime Senator has more absurdity to spout in the face of the current Commander in Chief.  His latest theory is that Russia and Vladimir Putin are more dangerous to the U.S.A. than ISIS.

“The Republican also admitted in an exclusive interview with 7.30 that President Donald Trump sometimes made him ‘nervous’.

“During a visit to Canberra, Senator McCain said Mr Putin was the ‘premier and most important threat, more so than ISIS’.

“‘I think ISIS can do terrible things. But it’s the Russians who tried to destroy the fundamental of democracy and that is to change the outcome of an American election,’ he said.

“‘I’ve seen no evidence they succeeded, but they tried and they are still trying to change elections.’

“‘They just tried to affect the outcome of the French election. So I view Vladimir Putin — who has dismembered Ukraine, a sovereign nation, who is putting pressure on the Baltics — I view the Russians as the far greatest challenge that we have.’”

McCain’s ridiculous assertion will come as a shock to many who have bore witness to ISIS’ most recent atrocities, including a heinous attack on young women in Manchester, England.  The international terror group has been gaining momentum in recent years, thanks in part to an oddly ineffective coalition of would-be ousters in Syria and continued use of social media platforms such as Facebook and Twitter for recruitment.

Also assisting ISIS in their unworldly acts is a European Union who has refused to accept the reality of their relaxed borders in the face of the Syrian refugee crisis.  ISIS has admitted to using these newly eased regulations to positions their operatives in all corners of the European continent – a fact evidenced by the massive uptick in terrorist attacks in France, Germany, and England over the course of the last few years.
