Former Trump advisor Carter Page files a lawsuit against the parent company of “Yahoo News” and “The Huffington Post” for publishing slanderous articles regarding meddling in the 2016 election.
Page is suing over a specific Yahoo article that alleged he met with U.S. sanctioned Russian operatives.
That publication sparked widespread controversy with “The Huffington Post” publishing follow-up articles, and the Clinton campaign accusing Page of playing a part in Russia’s alleged interference.
Since the article’s 2016 release, Page has denied ever meeting with Russian officials, and says the article has caused him irreparable damage.
He is seeking $75,000 in damages.
