A U.S. representative to the U.N. criticizes the General Assembly’s anti-Israel bias, saying it harms the peace process in the Middle East.
This comes after the U.N. Fourth Committee approved nine drafts in support of the Palestinian authority and targeting Israel.
The drafted resolutions recognize East Jerusalem as “occupied territory.”
The drafts also call for an international boycott of Israel, and condemns an Israeli presence on the Golan Heights.
Officials say the U.S. will vote against these drafts as they are unfairly biased against Israel, and hurt mutual trust in the Middle East.
The General Assembly is set to adopt the drafted resolutions next month.
