President Donald Trump is just now returning from his first trip to Asia as Commander in Chief, but not without a fair bit of controversy.

To be honest, it wouldn’t be a Trump trip without some kerfuffle, thanks to the incessant mainstream media malarky that surrounds every aspect of the President’s day to day actions.

While in Asia, Trump was once again engaged in a spat with the maniacal “supreme” leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un.  Kim resorted to his tired “dotard” insult against the U.S. President, insinuating that Trump is old, batty, and perhaps senile.  Trump fired back with a flash of brilliant humor, slamming the diminutive and doughy despot with a backhanded statement regarding Trump’s own tact.

Then there were the unfortunate actions of three UCLA basketball players who were visiting China concurrently to Trump making the rounds of Asia.  These three young men, (and we use that label sparingly), decided that they would do a little recreational shoplifting while repressing the United States abroad.  Chinese officials swiftly arrested the trio, creating a marked embarrassment for the United States while the President happened to be within shouting distance.

Enter Trump and his diplomatic prowess.

“Three UCLA basketball players who were arrested by the Chinese for shoplifting were allowed to return to the United States after President Donald Trump personally intervened with Chinese President Xi.

“Airline staff spotted the three basketball players checking into a flight in Shanghai, according to the Wall Street Journal just hours after Trump confirmed that he spoke about the situation with President Xi.

“’I had a great conversation with President Xi,’ Trump told reporters on Air Force One on the trip back from Asia. ‘He was terrific, and they’re working on it right now, and hopefully everything is going to work out.’

“The players were in China for a visitational game, while freshmen LiAngelo Ball, Jalen Hill, and Cody Riley were charged with shoplifting at a luxury shopping center.”

Trump’s willingness to take international diplomacy out of the dark ages over the course of the last year has already paid dividends in trade and conflict, with this latest achievement being piled onto the list of previous wins.  This flies in the face of the democrats and their litany of liberal lunatics who have consistently derided the President as a foolish and inept leader whose very election somehow risks the sanctity of our nation.

Now, if these three players know how to send a ‘thank you’ card to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, all will be right in the world.
