The resistance to President Trump has reached some of the most incredibly lofty peaks of any political inclination of the last decade, with the Pope himself keeping tabs on The Donald.

The beef between the High Pontiff and the Commander in Chief goes way back, all the way to 2016, when Donald Trump first admitted that he wasn’t buying into the whole “global warming” hoax.  The left, of course, lost their minds over this, (as they do with all things Trump), and immediately began beating the drums of global warming, climate change, and eco-activism.  This, for some reason, caught the Pope’s attention.

We must remember that Pope Francis isn’t one of the papal poppas from the past.  His progressive leanings have Francis standing a bit taller, puffing his chest out a bit more, and carrying a much cockier attitude than previous pontiffs.  His willingness to engage in political arguments, for example, has shocked even the most ardent followers of Catholicism.

The Pope’s beef with Trump is well demonstrated by their dissonant attitudes regarding the globalist power grab known as “global warming”.  Pope Francis had recently written a letter to the world regarding his belief in the thoroughly debunked phenomenon, and, upon his first meeting with Trump handed the newly elected President a personal copy of the letter.

While the rest of the world reacted to the Pope employing the tactics of a manipulative teen girl, Donald Trump got to work.

Now, the Vatican is once again baring its teeth in the general direction of Washington D.C. with a newspaper article condemning the allegedly “offensive” language utilized by President Trump yesterday.

“The Vatican newspaper, L’Osservatore Romano, published a front-page article on Friday calling Trump’s reported comments ‘particularly harsh and offensive.’

“Choosing to leave out the word ‘s—hole,’ the paper said that the remarks immediately sparked ‘controversy and indignation.’

“The alleged comments came during a DACA meeting on Thursday. Sen. Dick Durbin, D-Ill., who was in the room with the president, told reporters that the comments were accurate.

“’He said these hate-filled things, and he said them repeatedly,’ Durbin said, calling the words ‘vile and racist.’”

The hypocrisy of the left is also readily apparent in this situation, as the Catholic Church continues to involve itself in American politics.

When conservative politicians cite The Almighty as an influence on their lives and decisions, the left is quick to scream about the supposed “separation of church and state” in the United States, a concept that does not appear in any official government documents, but has been repeatedly paraphrased as such from a letter written by Thomas Jefferson.

Now, as the Catholic Church enters the political fray, on the left we hear crickets.
