Arizona Representative Martha McSally urges fellow Republicans to — quote — “grow a pair of ovaries” as she officially announces her run for the U.S. Senate.
The retired Air Force colonel made the highly anticipated announcement Friday, kicking off what’s expected to be a fiery showdown to replace retiring GOP Senator Jeff Flake.
McSally has been a staunch supporter of President Trump, and is running on a policy platform that mirrors his ‘America First’ agenda, including a hard-line stance against illegal immigration.
GOP lawmakers have called McSally a front runner.
She’ll be up against former Arizona Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the Republican primary field.
