President Trump continues to be outspoken about keeping students across the country safe.
In a tweet today, the president voiced his support for arming teachers, saying educators love their students and want to protect them.
Armed Educators (and trusted people who work within a school) love our students and will protect them. Very smart people. Must be firearms adept & have annual training. Should get yearly bonus. Shootings will not happen again – a big & very inexpensive deterrent. Up to States.

He added those who would carry a gun must be “adept and have annual training.”
The president also believes they should be rewarded for taking on that role.
He recently discussed the issue at a meeting on school safety this week.
