President Trump is set to host his Nigerian counterpart at the White House later this month.

The meeting with Muhammadu Buhari is slated for April 30, the White House announced on Sunday.

The sides will discuss economic and security cooperation between the U.S. and Nigeria, as well as challenges to freedom and democracy in west Africa.

The visit comes as the oil-dependent Nigerian economy is crumbling, while Islamic State-affiliated militants of Boko Haram are wreaking havoc across the country.

The Trump administration said the U.S. has deep and strong relations with Nigeria.
