President Trump says he’s looking into the case of a U.S. military war hero accused of murder.

In a tweet on Sunday, the President said per many requests, he will be reviewing the case of Major Mathew Golsteyn.

In a statement Sunday, a Pentagon spokesman Army Colonel Rob Manning said “the allegations against Major Matt Golsteyn are a law enforcement matter. The Department of Defense will respect the integrity of this process and provide updates when appropriate.”

Golsteyn was stationed in Afghanistan in 2010, and the suspected bomb maker he reportedly killed was not on the military’s designated kill list.
