Paul Manafort agrees to plead guilty to avoid a second trial on corruption charges, following a plea deal with special counsel Robert Mueller.

Manafort is due to reappear in court Friday for pre-trial proceedings stemming from charges of money laundering for Russia-linked politicians.

This after Manafort was found guilty on eight charges including bank fraud, submitting false tax returns, and failing to report foreign bank accounts last month.

So far, lawmakers have not released the details of the agreement, and added that it is unclear if Manafort will cooperate with prosecutors.
