There is no world in which the liberal left can imagine that the mainstream media is unbiased, and denial of that fact is just a sign of utter ignorance in 2018.
Sure, there are entire industries popping up designed to maintain a “straight down the middle” news authority in this nation, but I can tell you from experience that this is all a ruse. (Someday, when the heat is off, I’ll write a book explaining what a crazy world we’re living in right now. For the time being, I don’t know a single sane lawyer who’d be willing to back me up in court).
This explains why the GOP baseball shooting of last summer was such a blip on the radar. You see, the left leaning media didn’t care for the background or the motivations of the shooter who came from a place online where violent, liberal rhetoric was allowed to flourish. In this case, it was on Facebook, where James T. Hodgkinson was a part of several anti-GOP groups, including at least one that pushed the idea of “hunting republicans”.
Spoiler alert, that’s just what he did.
Now, in his hopes to stave off future violence, Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky is speaking out on the subject of last year’s near-massacre, and revealing something that very few news outlets, if any, reported on.
Appearing on Fox News’ “FOX & Friends,” Paul condemned the violent rhetoric of the political Left and the Democratic Party and warned that someone is going to end up getting killed if the inflammatory rhetoric doesn’t stop.
“I was there at the ball field when Steven Scalise almost died from a very, very angry violent man who was incited really by rhetoric on the left,” Paul said.
“And this hasn’t been reported enough, when he came on the field with a semi-automatic weapon firing probably close to 200 shots at us, shooting five people and almost killing Steve Scalise, he was yelling ‘this is for healthcare!” Paul said. “He also had a list of conservative legislators, Republicans, in his pocket that he was willing to kill.”
“So what happens is that when Democrats say ‘get up in their face,’ they need to realize that there are a lot of unstable people out there,” Paul continued. “There are people with anger issues, there are people who are prone to violence.”
Of course, the baseball shooter’s action came almost two weeks to the day after Kathy Griffin acted out her twisted fantasy of killing the President and beheading him in a gory, realistic photo shoot, leading some to believe that Griffin’s imagery may have played a role in the sick and twisted mind of Hodgkinson.
