Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein recently described Mueller’s Russia investigation as both “appropriate” and “independent.”

He made the comments Wednesday, adding, he can understand why some people are frustrated with the process, including President Trump.

While he has described the Mueller probe as a “witch hunt” in the past, Rosenstein claimed the president has become more supportive of the investigation after their meeting.

Despite the costly nature of the investigation, Rosenstein believes the public will have faith in its findings.

He did not give a timeline for when the probe will end, but it could reportedly be as early as next month after midterm elections.
