The White House responds to Representative Joaquin Castro’s erroneous accusation that President Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, is behind the killing of Saudi Journalist, Jamal Khashoggi.

In a tweet on Friday, Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed the allegation was, “outrageous and slanderous without a shred of proof.”

Sanders also slammed the Democrat Congressman, calling it “reprehensible” to make accusations based off “debunked” news articles.

Her comments come after Castro accused Kushner of delivering a hit list to the Saudi Crown Prince, prompting them to kill Khashoggi.

Castro made the allegation without citing evidence or news sources and also attempted to backtrack on his allegations, calling for a general investigation into whether U.S. Intelligence was shared with Saudi Arabia prior to the killing.
