While the last few results of the Nevada caucus are still being officially tallied, the Associated Press already called Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders the winner of the Silver State.
With 50 percent of the vote in, Sanders had nearly twice as many county delegates than the runner-up Joe Biden. He ultimately won due to the support of Nevada’s large Latino community.
During his speech, Sanders mentioned how important it is to come together as a country.
“We are bringing our people together,” stated the Vermont Senator. “In Nevada we have just brought together a multi-generational (and) multiracial coalition, which is not only going to win in Nevada, it’s going to sweep this country.”
Bernie Sanders scored a commanding victory in Nevada’s presidential caucuses, cementing his status as the Democrats’ national front-runner. Next up: South Carolina’s primary on Saturday and then Super Tuesday on March 3. https://t.co/OyJbXDTIh8

The win came despite heavy lobbying efforts against him by the Culinary Union, which represents more than 60,000 workers. Most of the workers who voted at the caucuses held on the Las Vegas strip, voted for Sanders despite the Union’s claim he would take away their health care.
President Trump decided to tweet about Sanders’ win and congratulated him on his victory. So far, Sanders has 34 delegates going into the primary next weekend in South Carolina.
Looks like Crazy Bernie is doing well in the Great State of Nevada. Biden & the rest look weak, & no way Mini Mike can restart his campaign after the worst debate performance in the history of Presidential Debates. Congratulations Bernie, & don’t let them take it away from you!
