A California man accused of vandalizing the president’s Walk of Fame star in Hollywood is changing his plea from “not guilty” to “no contest.”

The district attorney in Los Angeles made the announcement on Twitter Wednesday.

24-year old Austin Clay was accused of destroying the star with a pickaxe in back July.

He was facing the possibility of three-years in prison, but instead a judge sentenced him to one-day in a county jail followed by three-years of probation.

Clay was also ordered to work 20-days of community service, see a psychologist, and pay the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce more than $9,000.
