Texas authorities say the suspect who shot a sheriff’s deputy and two officers is dead following an hours-long standoff.
Officials announced the suspect, Daniel Trevino, suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head, and may have been wounded from his earlier shootout with law enforcement.
Trevino, who reportedly had a long criminal recording which included assault charges, allegedly fired on officers in northeast Houston earlier Tuesday as they served him a felony warrant.
The three wounded officers, as well as a fourth officer who was injured in a crash on his way to the scene, are all expected to survive.
