Horn News – When the Times pressed for more details, Trump declined. The president-elect explained to the U.K. paper that, unlike the current commander in chief, he didn’t want to give away the U.S. playbook to Islamic terrorists.
“I don’t want to be like Obama or others where they say, ‘I always talk about Mosul.’ You know Mosul’s turned out to be a disaster. Brutal,” he declared.
Trump went on to explain that giving so many details to the enemy allows them ample opportunity to prepare — and that could cost time and lives.
“Mosul turned out to be a disaster because we announced five months ago that we were going into Mosul in five months,” Trump said. “In four months we said, ‘We’re getting ready,’ so by the time we get in, it’s been so much talk — and it’s been very hard to take.”
