For the past week, America has been terrorized by the radical leftist organization known as “antifa”.
Short for “anti-fascist”, the organization is hilariously misnamed. These radical leftists are neo-fascism incarnate, resorting to despicable violence in order to smother or eradicate any political viewpoint that they do not find themselves in agreement with. Sure, they do their fair share of Nazi-hunting, but their latest foray into the world of Confederate memorials has solidified their allegiance to the political liberalism that is turning extreme in America these days.
In the past few weeks, these “antifa” miscreants have popped up all over the nation, at political gatherings of every size and shape. Their horrific tactics and vitriolic violence have been the subject of many a news outlet’s coverage of the increasingly extreme clashes between the left’s historical revisionists and those seeking a traditional education of the future generations, particularly in relation to the American Civil War.
After the Battle of Charlottesville a week ago, a great many Americans have banded together to ask the government to list “antifa” as a terrorist organization.
“A White House petition created Thursday is calling on President Trump to officially recognize the radical left-wing Antifa movement as a terrorist organization.
“’Antifa has earned this title due to its violent actions in multiple cities and their influence in the killings of multiple police officers throughout the United States,’ the petition reads.
“Antifa has been known to provoke right-wing activists, and has made appearances in Berkeley, California, in March and Charlottesville, Virginia, last weekend.
“In the most recent incident in Charlottesville, the violent protesters clashed with right-wing activists protesting the city’s decision to remove a statue of Robert E. Lee.”
“Antifa” members were recently involved in the stabbing of a Colorado man who was sporting a haircut that the group has apparently outlawed as a Nazi symbol.
These riotous thugs have been wreaking havoc on our civil society for far too long, according to the petition which has over 63,000 signatures as of the time of this writing. Should the petition reach its goal of 100,000 signatures, the White House will be forced to acknowledge its existence and respond.
