Just weeks after a massive earthquake rocked Mexico City another powerful quake jolts the capital, leaving five dead and causing major destruction.

The epicenter of the preliminary 7.1 magnitude earthquake hit near Puebla, Mexico according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Buildings have been seriously damaged in the city with local TV stations showing images of streets filled with rubble.

Two weeks ago an 8.1 earthquake killed nearly 100 people across southern Mexico.

The quake also comes on the same day an 8.0 magnitude earthquake shook the country’s capital exactly 32 years ago.
