President Trump is looking to reach across the aisle on health care in hopes to stabilize the failing Obamacare system.

Republican Senator Lamar Alexander said the president called him over the weekend to seek a bill that funds Obamacare subsidies.

The president said he is open to negotiating the cost-sharing payments in return for state flexibility in providing consumers with more choices.

Alexander is the chairman of the Senate Health Committee, and has been working with ranking Democrat Patty Murray on a bi-partisan deal.

A White House spokesman said the president wants to find a legislative solution that will provide Americans with relief from the Obamacare disaster.
