Hollywood star Scarlett Johansson is being given big props for her “brave” speech calling out the sexual abuse too many denizens of Hollywood have had to suffer for so long, but a closer look at her speech reveals just how badly sexually licentious liberalism has failed America’s daughters. Indeed, even how that liberalism has failed our sons.
Johansson spoke to a crowd of so-called “Women’s Marchers” in downtown Los Angeles as hundreds of thousands of privileged women across the nation absurdly marched to complain about their first world problems (even as women facing REAL oppression overseas are being raped, tortured, and murdered just for being women).
The actress ostensibly rose to speak out against the sexual harassment that women in the entertainment business have faced for decades. She even gave a dig at actor James Franco who is currently facing a list of accusations that he is a serial harasser of women, according to the New York Daily News.
“How could a person publicly stand by an organization that helps to provide support for victims of sexual assault while privately preying on people who have no power?” Johansson railed from the stage.
She then added what is assumed to be a jab directly at Franco, “I want my pin back, by the way.”
Hours later, a representative for the actress confirmed that she was, indeed, talking about the “Disaster Artist” actor.
But that is the least of what her comments revealed. In truth, a closer look at her comments proved that liberals have created the climate for this disgusting treatment of women.
Her remarks are very revealing, not just about her own choices (she has been famous for being a sexually loose party girl), but of the climate that led to those choices:
“Suddenly I was 19 again and I began to remember all the men who had taken advantage of the fact that I was a young woman who didn’t yet have the tools to say no, or understand the value of my own self-worth,” she said.
“I had many relationships both personal and professional where the power dynamic was so off that I had to create a narrative that I was the cool girl who could hang in and hang out, and that sometimes meant compromising what felt right for me.”

“No more pandering. No more feeling guilty about hurting someone’s feelings when something doesn’t feel right for me,” she said. “I have made a promise to myself to be responsible to my self, that in order to trust my instincts I must first respect them.”
Let’s look at those comments closer.
Johansson said that she was a young woman without “the tools to say no.”
Why did she not have these “tools”? Because she grew up in a left-wing culture that maintained that sex was just another way to interact with people. It wasn’t something that needed to be guarded or meted out with serious intent. It was something to be given freely, indeed given out at the drop of a hat.
Johansson — and by extension all our nation’s young girls — have been badly served by this careless attitude toward sex. Johansson wasn’t told that women have the power to say no, that women should not be flinging off their clothes at a moment’s notice, nor was she taught that sexual congress is something that should be cherished, not given away so freely.
The immorality in Hollywood sponsored by liberalism has clearly caused this young movie actress some heavy grief in her life. But it is also doing the same to our entire nation. The religious-based education that women used to receive teaching them to control their urges and not to be “sluts” by allowing just any man access to their most private and tender moments has been destroyed by leftists.
Johansson has clearly been a victim of liberalism. But she is not alone. The whole nation is a victim of liberalism and Johansson is just the latest to speak up to prove it.
