Al Gore has long been riding the big, green wave of eco-racketeering, banking on the idea that Americans can be manipulated by guilt into giving your money to him.
While most of us simply know Al Gore as the former Vice President and the guy behind the current state of “global warming” hysteria, we must never forget that his foray into ecological activism was nothing more than a get-rich-quick scheme. His film, an inconvenient truth, pushed global warming propaganda into the upper echelon of global politics, all so that Gore himself could bait people into purchasing “carbon credits” from him.
It was a scam from the get-go, folks.
Just before leaving public office in 2001, Gore reported assets of less than $2 million; today, his wealth is estimated at $100 million.
Gore charted this path by returning to his longtime passion — clean energy. He benefited from a powerful resume and a constellation of friends in the investment world and in Washington. And four years ago, his portfolio aligned smoothly with the agenda of an incoming administration and its plan to spend billions in stimulus funds on alternative energy.
Gore’s snake oil is certainly making him a very wealthy man, but it may also be making him a tiny bit more honest as well.
Former Vice President Al Gore suggested Monday night that the Trump administration has not done as much to hurt the environment as he previously thought.
“[Trump] has had less of an impact so far than I feared that he would,” Gore told Associated Press reporters. “Someone said last year his administration is a blend of malevolence and incompetence.”
The bumbling helped blunt the president’s agenda, according to the former VP-turned-climate activist.
Gore also expressed optimism that public opposition to President Donald Trump’s environmental agenda will help stymie more regulatory rollbacks.
