President Trump is reportedly weighing a proposal to establish a private intelligence agency to counter ‘deep state’ opposition to his presidency.

The proposed network will have global outreach, including countries such as Iran and North Korea, and would operate unofficially.

The agency’s operatives will report directly to CIA Director Mike Pompeo.

This comes as a way to bypass the obstruction from high-ranking bureaucrats and Obama leftovers in D.C.

However, White House officials have not confirmed the existence of such plans.

“I haven’t done a full survey of every member of the administration, but I can tell you as of right now, that’s not something that’s currently being planned, and not something that I’m aware as moving forward in any capacity,” said White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders when asked about the possible agency.

The initiative to set up such a structure allegedly belongs to Erik Prince, who is founder of the private military contractor Academi as well as veteran counterterrorism agent John Maguire.
