As the U.S. and South Korea prepare for joint naval drills, reports claim North Korea is set to conduct another ballistic missile launch.
Officials in North Korea reportedly call the upcoming drills ‘reckless,’ and are threatening to fire missiles at Guam in retaliation.
The drills, expected to last 10-days, will take place in the waters east and west of South Korea starting Monday.
40 U.S. Navy vessels are expected to be deployed for the exercise.
North Korea has a history of engaging in missile launches during these types of drills.
