The first week of February proved to be a hell of a news cycle for President Joe Biden. Depending on what happens in November, it may go down as the week he lost the election.

The Biden regime is built on lies. Effectively the third term of congenital liar Barack Obama, this is nothing new; even his supporters know it — which is why the newspeak “misinformation” came into vogue. It’s now an official category that allows Democrats to systematically marginalize information that undermines the regime, its ideology, or its policies. It is a necessary linguistic weapon because of Biden’s abject weakness. While Obama could wave away criticism with some charm and flourish, Biden lacks any of his predecessor’s charisma. We now are witnessing his house of cards crashing down in real time — and no amount of federal propaganda or censorship can save him.

Democrats must trounce Republicans on several issues if they hope to hold onto the White House in November.

They must convince Americans that the border is secure, or that they are at least concerned with and working towards securing the border. If they can do neither of those things, then they must lay at least equal, but preferably more, of the blame at Republicans’ feet.

They must convince Americans that Biden is young and spry, both mentally and physically capable of spending another four years in office. If they cannot do that, they must at least convince Americans that a lively Donald Trump is just as old and infirm, but preferably more so, than his opponent.

Lastly, they must convince Americans that we stand at the brink of an existential crisis. Elect us to “protect democracy,” or risk the country descending into fascistic, dictatorial rule much like Nazi Germany.

In other words, Democrats must run an overwhelmingly negative campaign — negative in the sense that it will focus on pessimistic attacks against Republicans and the state of the country, but also in its disingenuous appeal. Democrats must convince Americans that what they experience every day is nothing but “misinformation,” and that they cannot believe their lying eyes.

Yet the ongoing lies on all three fronts came crashing this month already.

On immigration, now often ranked as Americans’ top concern, Biden finally had to admit that the border is not secure after years of regime-coordinated lying. “Every day between now and November, the American people are going to know that the only reason the border is not secure is Donald Trump and his MAGA Republican friends,” Biden said in a press conference, referencing the border funding bill that Senate Republicans nuked Wednesday. With the crisis at the border becoming more acute and visible, the administration had to pivot; it could not keep insisting everything was fine. So of course, Plan B requires blaming Republicans, while finding quieter ways to keep up the same level of immigration.

However, it just seems like that dog’s not going to hunt. Americans trust Trump on the border by a whopping 35% margin — Trump’s strongest issue. They sense that Biden will not “solve” the border crisis for the simple reason that he does not want to.

On vitality, special counsel Robert Hur’s report on Biden’s handling of classified documents is perhaps the most damning thing ever written about this “well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.” If he lacks the “mental state of willfulness” to be convicted by a jury, then he cannot be fit to remain the leader of the free world. Democrats cannot split the baby on this one, and any attempt to do so merely digs a deeper grave for those who disingenuously spent years defending Biden’s fitness for office.

No less authority than The New York Times explains why age hurts Biden “so much more” than Trump.

“Mr. Biden’s voice has grown softer and raspier, his hair thinner and whiter. He is tall and trim but moves more tentatively than he did as a candidate in 2019 and 2020, often holding his upper body stiff, adding to an impression of frailty. And he has had spills in the public eye: falling off a bicycle, tripping over a sandbag.

Mr. Trump, by contrast, does not appear to be suffering the effects of time in such visible ways. Mr. Trump often dyes his hair and appears unnaturally tan. He is heavyset and tall, and he uses his physicality to project strength in front of crowds. When he takes the stage at rallies, he basks in adulation for several minutes, dancing to an opening song, and then holds forth in speeches replete with macho rhetoric and bombast that typically last well over an hour, a display of stamina.”

A stunning admission from deep within the capital of Trump-hatred, the Times’ words speak for themselves.

Lastly, on threats to “democracy,” a recent NBC poll shows that Democrats and Republicans are just about neck and neck. Democrats have spent years telling voters that Republicans will launch a fascist coup the instant they get the chance. Yet Democrats only lead by 2 points when it comes to “protecting democracy.” Americans clearly sense that Democrats pose a dire threat to the American way of life as well — and this without anyone whipping them up to believe it. At the very least, many will take this central campaign push with a grain of salt; we won’t see a massive turnout to “save democracy” as Democrats hope.

As both Biden’s record and stamina continue to collapse, expect Democrats to lean heavily into this last narrative — it’s all they have. Ignore the guy whose brain is melting out of his head, and focus on the grave threat just beyond the horizon. Biden World is in crisis, and the campaign is about to get a whole lot darker.
