PALM BEACH, Florida – President Donald Trump is not letting up in his battle against Democrats urging members of the U.S. military and intelligence community to refuse to obey orders from the commander in chief, launching a fresh barrage of criticism in all capital letters.

“THE TRAITORS THAT TOLD THE MILITARY TO DISOBEY MY ORDERS SHOULD BE IN JAIL RIGHT NOW, NOT ROAMING THE FAKE NEWS NETWORKS TRYING TO EXPLAIN THAT WHAT THEY SAID WAS OK. IT WASN’T, AND NEVER WILL BE!” Trump exclaimed late Saturday night on Truth Social.

“IT WAS SEDITION AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL, AND SEDITION IS A MAJOR CRIME. THERE CAN BE NO OTHER INTERPRETATION OF WHAT THEY SAID!”

In a follow-up message, also in all capital letters, Trump added: “MANY GREAT LEGAL SCHOLARS AGREE THAT THE DEMOCRAT TRAITORS THAT TOLD THE MILITARY TO DISOBEY MY ORDERS, AS PRESIDENT, HAVE COMMITTED A CRIME OF SERIOUS PROPORTION!”

His new comments come on the heels of last week’s comments in which Trump slammed the “SEDITIOUS BEHAVIOR, punishable by DEATH!”

U.S. Sen. Mark Kelly, D-Ariz., pushed back against Trump, saying, “I know a little bit about political violence. My wife Gabby [Giffords] was nearly assassinated. She was shot in the head because of political violence. She nearly died.”

When asked by a CBS News reporter if the president actually wanted to execute members of Congress, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said no.

“The sanctity of our military rests on the chain of command and if that chain of command is broken, it can lead to people getting killed, it can lead to chaos,” Leavitt explained.

Noting the U.S. has 1.3 million active-duty service members, she added, “If they hear this radical message from sitting members of Congress, that could inspire chaos and it could incite violence and it could certainly disrupt the chain of command.”

Appearing on “Sunday Morning Futures” with Maria Bartiromo on the Fox News Channel, Senate Majority Whip John Barrasso, R-Wyo., called the Democrats’ strategy “dangerous,” noting, “These are the same Democrats who have doing everything they can to undermine the president. … Every one of them voted for the shutdown.”

As WorldNetDaily reported last week, a handful of Democrats in Congress who served in the U.S. military and intelligence community raised eyebrows with a new video encouraging current service members to refuse to follow “illegal orders” issued by the administration of President Donald Trump.

“We want to speak directly to members of the military and the intelligence community who take risks each day to keep Americans safe,” the lawmakers say, taking turns in brief clips. “We know you are under enormous stress and pressure right now.”

“This administration is pitting our uniformed military and intelligence-community professionals against American citizens. Like us, you all swore an oath to protect and defend this Constitution. Right now, the threats to our Constitution aren’t just coming from abroad, but from right here at home.

“Our laws are clear. You can refuse illegal orders. You can refuse illegal orders. You must refuse illegal orders. No one has to carry out orders that violate the law or our Constitution.

“We know this is hard and that it’s a difficult time to be a public servant. But whether you’re serving in the CIA, the Army, our Navy, the Air Force, your vigilance is critical and know that we have your back. Because now, more than ever, the American people need you. We need you to stand up for our laws, our Constitution and who we are as Americans.”

The video concludes with the message: “Don’t give up the ship.”

Democrats featured in the video are Sen. Elissa Slotkin of Michigan, a former CIA officer; Sen. Mark Kelly of Arizona, a former Navy captain and astronaut; Rep. Chris Deluzio of Pennsylvania, a former Navy officer; Rep. Maggie Goodlander of New Hampshire, a former intelligence officer in the Navy Reserve; Rep. Chrissy Houlahan of Pennsylvania, a former Air Force officer; and Rep. Jason Crow of Colorado, a former paratrooper and Army Ranger.

Stephen Miller, Trump’s deputy chief of staff for policy and homeland security, said: “Democrat lawmakers are now openly calling for insurrection.”
