Jesus is Love. Every moment we choose love, we choose Him.
REFLECTION
How often do we complicate our spiritual journey, thinking we need grand gestures or perfect prayers to draw closer to the divine? Yet this simple, profound truth cuts through all our overthinking: Jesus is Love itself. Not just loving, not just an example of love, but Love incarnate. When we understand this, everything changes. Every small decision we make throughout our day becomes an opportunity to align ourselves with Him.
Think about the moments that fill your daily life—the driver who cuts you off in traffic, the coworker who takes credit for your idea, the family member who pushes your buttons, the stranger who needs a kind word. In each of these moments, we stand at a crossroads. We can choose frustration, resentment, or indifference. Or we can choose love. And when we choose love—even when it’s difficult, even when it costs us something—we’re not just being nice. We’re choosing Jesus Himself. We’re inviting His presence into that very moment, allowing His nature to flow through us.
This isn’t about perfection. Some days we’ll choose love easily, and other days we’ll struggle and fail. But the beauty is that every moment offers a fresh opportunity. The choice for love is never in the past or future—it’s always right now, in this breath, in this interaction, in this thought. When we grasp that choosing love and choosing Jesus are one and the same, our faith becomes less about religious duty and more about intimate relationship. It transforms from something we do on Sundays to something we live every single moment.
