TODAY’S PASSAGE

From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:

I asked if they wanted to return to the United States with us. I even offered to do all the driving. They declined, choosing to stay in Mazatlán a little longer. We first visited my parents in the Bay Area and told them the story. They did not believe it either. Then we went on to Lake Tahoe to see Emily’s parents. They wanted to believe, but again, there was no proof. Months passed, and our families became concerned that Emily had no doctor. Emily remained calm. She knew exactly how it would unfold. One day, while passing a bulletin board in a small shopping center — the kind where people pinned business cards — Emily stopped. She pointed to a card and said, This is him.

REFLECTION

There’s something profoundly beautiful about Emily’s calm certainty in the face of everyone else’s doubt. Her family wanted proof. They needed evidence. They were concerned because the practical details didn’t line up. But Emily possessed something that transcends logic and evidence—she had an inner knowing, a divine assurance that whispered, “Everything will unfold exactly as it should.” This is the kind of faith that doesn’t demand answers on our timeline, but trusts that the right people, the right moments, and the right solutions will appear precisely when they’re meant to.

How often do we find ourselves in Emily’s position? We’ve experienced something real, something transformative, but we can’t prove it to others. We feel the gentle guidance of love leading us forward, but those around us see only uncertainty and risk. The pressure to justify our faith, to produce evidence for our inner knowing, can be overwhelming. Yet Emily shows us a different way—she remained calm. She didn’t argue, didn’t scramble to convince, didn’t panic when months passed without the “proof” others demanded. She simply walked forward in trust, and the universe met her exactly where she was.

That bulletin board moment is no accident. It’s the beautiful confirmation that comes when we hold steady in faith. The right doctor’s card wasn’t in a prestigious medical directory or recommended by a specialist—it was pinned among everyday notices in a small shopping center. Divine guidance doesn’t always arrive in grand, obvious ways. Sometimes it whispers through the ordinary, through a simple business card that makes your heart say, “This is him.” When we cultivate that inner calm, that connection to love’s guidance, we develop the eyes to see what we need exactly when we need to see it.

THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…

What are you holding in faith right now that others can’t see or understand? Where in your life are you being called to trust the unfolding, even without proof, even when those you love are concerned? Perhaps today is your invitation to embody Emily’s calm knowing—to stop defending, stop proving, and simply trust that love is guiding you toward exactly what you need.
