TODAY’S PASSAGE

From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:

While working on the images for this book, something unexpected also emerged. The song JESUS LOVE LOVE LOVE formed naturally as a simple expression of gratitude and love inspired by the conversations recorded in these pages. Some readers encounter the music first. Others discover it after reading the book. Those who wish to listen can hear the song at: Throughout this book, passages from the Bible are occasionally quoted in full. These references are included as points of alignment — moments where recorded Scripture intersects with the dialogue as I experienced it. They are not offered as proof, reinterpretation, or replacement, but as continuity. What was written then remains written. I simply acknowledge where the conversation meets the record. Many years before the conversations recorded here, I undertook a complete study of the Bible under Peace’s guidance. That study was intense and immersive, yet it occurred only once. Over time, while the themes and impressions of Scripture remained with me, the specific wording and structure were not committed to memory. At times, I paraphrase from recollection before later confirming the passage in its recorded form. For that reason, when moments arose in dialogue that closely reflected written Scripture, I was often surprised by the degree of alignment. The inclusion of these passages reflects that convergence — not deliberate reconstruction, but recognition.

REFLECTION

There’s something beautifully authentic about what Michael Canfield describes here. A song emerged naturally—not forced, not manufactured, but flowing out of genuine gratitude and love. How often do we try to manufacture our spiritual experiences, straining to make something happen rather than allowing the divine to work through us? The song “JESUS LOVE LOVE LOVE” wasn’t on a checklist or a strategic plan. It simply formed because love was present and active. This reminds us that our most authentic expressions of faith often surprise us, arriving not through effort but through surrender.

What strikes me most powerfully is Canfield’s approach to Scripture—recognition rather than reconstruction. He’s not trying to prove anything or force his experience to fit a predetermined mold. Instead, he’s genuinely surprised when his conversations with the divine align with ancient Scripture. This is how living faith actually works in our daily lives. We don’t need to memorize every verse or reconstruct perfect theological arguments. The truth we’ve absorbed, even imperfectly remembered, lives within us and emerges when we need it. The Spirit doesn’t require us to be walking concordances; it asks us to be open vessels.

This passage offers profound freedom for anyone who has ever felt “not spiritual enough” or inadequately versed in religious knowledge. Canfield studied the Bible intensely once, yet he paraphrases from recollection. He doesn’t claim perfection—he claims experience. He doesn’t offer proof—he offers continuity. In our own lives, we don’t need to have all the answers memorized. We need to remain open to divine conversation, trusting that what we’ve learned and absorbed will surface exactly when convergence is meant to happen. That’s not laziness; that’s trust.

THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…

How might your life change if you stopped trying to reconstruct the “right” spiritual experience and instead learned to recognize the divine conversations already happening around you? What unexpected expressions of love and gratitude might emerge naturally if you simply stayed open and present to the sacred moments of your everyday life?
