Jay Jones, the Democrat attorney general in Virginia, was elected even after a campaign scandal in which he was revealed to have fantasized about killing a Republican and hurting his children.
The facts are that text messages were leaked showing Jones fantasizing about killing former Republican House Speaker Todd Gilbert and wishing harm to his children.
“Two bullets to the head” was for Gilbert and his wish was for Gilbert’s children to “die in their mother’s arms.”
Now he’s embroiled in a new scandal: He’s warned a county sheriff that he’s being investigated.
For enforcing the law.

Jones informed Greene County Sheriff Steven S. Smith that he was under investigation for making traffic stops.
“I write to inform you that the Virginia office of the attorney general has opened an inquiry into the manner in which the Greene County sheriff’s office is conducting traffic stops.”
Jones’ extraordinary claims are that such traffic stops are a “violation state law and the Constitution” and are depriving persons “of rights, privileges and immunities.”
