TODAY’S PASSAGE
From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:
Because grace is not fragile. It does not retreat from darkness. It overwhelms it Grace is the first word, the sustaining word, and the word that remains when all others fall silent. You are not held together by your consistency. You are held by Grace, not permission to remain unchanged. It is the “You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet.”
REFLECTION
How many times have you felt like you’re barely holding it together? Like one more mistake, one more failure, one more inconsistency will cause everything to fall apart? We live in a world that constantly reminds us of our inadequacies—the news cycles filled with chaos, our personal struggles with staying faithful, our inability to be perfect in our walk with God. But here’s the truth that changes everything: you are not held together by your own strength or consistency. You are held by Grace—a force so powerful that it doesn’t flinch in the face of darkness but overwhelms it completely.
Grace isn’t some delicate thing that needs protecting. It’s not conditional on whether you had a good day or a bad one, whether you prayed enough or stumbled again. Grace is the first word spoken over your life, the sustaining word that carries you through every moment, and the word that will still be echoing when everything else fades away. When wars rage and rumors swirl, when your own heart feels like a battlefield, grace doesn’t retreat. It stands firm. It reminds you that even in the midst of turmoil, you are seen, you are loved, and you are held.
But let’s be clear—grace isn’t permission to stay stuck. It’s not a license to remain unchanged while the world burns around you. Grace is the power to transform, the invitation to become more loving, more compassionate, more like Jesus himself. When He tells us not to be alarmed by wars and rumors of wars, He’s not asking us to be passive. He’s reminding us that we are anchored in something far greater than the chaos. We can face uncertainty without fear because we know the end of the story. We can love boldly in dark times because grace has already overwhelmed the darkness.
THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…
Today, I invite you to ask yourself: Where am I trying to hold myself together through my own effort? Where do I need to release control and trust that Grace is already holding me? Let this passage remind you that your worth isn’t found in your performance, but in the unwavering love that sustains you—even when everything feels uncertain.
