Today, there is no longer even a hint of impartiality in the main stream media. And this will tick-off some conservatives, but that includes almost everyone at Fox News.

Now it’s pick-a-side. You’re expected to be all in for Trump, or all out.

However, CNN has taken naked partisanship to new heights. Check that. They’ve descended to new lows. As I never watch MSNBC, I must therefore conclude that CNN is the worst among the leftist networks. For those with a stronger constitution than I, who might tune in to MSNBC, feel free to correct me on the MSNBC/CNN race to the bottom.

I’ve thought for some time, the worst and most partisanly condescending of them at CNN was former morning show co-anchor, turned prime time hack, Chris Cuomo.

Yet after witnessing the exchange had between Cuomo’s morning replacement, John Berman, and Rick Santorum, I think Cuomo has been dethroned. The performance turned in by Berman during that 8 minute (or so) segment, shows that fairness and impartiality is not only dead, but has been shot, stabbed, burned, drawn and quarter and thrown in a shallow grave.

For most of the segment, it was the typical back and forth arguing between Santorum, Berman and co-host Alisyn Camerota. We who watch this crap on a regular basis are used to the formulaic bickering between host(s) and guest. We see it everywhere. Tucker Carlson on Fox is a master at it, as he demonstrates at least once a night on his show.

They were discussing, what else, the Kavanaugh, Blasey Ford debacle and who they believe – Ford or the judge.

Yet it was Berman who ramped up the leftist condescension in the last minute. The contemptuous audacity he demonstrated caused me to just vacantly stare at the screen in disbelief.

Berman said, with all the pomposity he could muster, that, “What it seems to me Senator, is what your saying is that only solution that you would see as just, is if Christine Blasey Ford was never able to tell her story to the American people. Is that was soooo critical here in your mind is that Christine Blasey Ford could not tell alllllllllllll (complete with exaggerated hand gestures) the American people what she believes to be her truth of sexual assault.”

As an aside, may I state for the record once again, that there is no such thing as “her truth,” or his truth. There is but one truth – the truth.

Santorum, to his credit, jumped right in and fired back, saying, “Christine Blasey Ford didn’t want to tell her story. She wanted this to be investigated.” He went on to explain that this “investigation” could have been done in private, but her name was exposed by the democrats at the last moment – that the dems are the only ones to blame for this.

Judging by the catatonic gaze from the two hosts, Santorum appeared to get the better of them. Yet Berman just couldn’t let it go and just end the segment. He had to close with another dig, as a true leftist activist must.

As Santorum was explaining that she (Ford), “wanted to keep it private, she could have kept it private, had the democrats handled this the way it should have been handled,” Berman just couldn’t contain himself. He injected, “for her never to go public, right – for her never to go public.”

Berman’s implication was, of course, that the entire Republican Party was guilty of wanting to suppress this witness.

This eight minute segment was despicable, but sadly this naked partisanship is what passes for news these days. Good for Santorum for having the guts to stand up to their attacks and throw it back in their faces. It’s doubtful he’ll be invited back.
