According to a New York magazine cover profile, Hillary told of her brutal experiences while visiting the rope lines at her own campaign events. She said that she encountered people who would say, “I really admire you, I really like you, I just don’t know if I can vote for a woman to be president.” She continued, “I mean, they come to my events and then they say that to me. Unpacking this, understanding it, is for writers like you. I’m just trying to cope with it. Deal with it. Live through it.”

This is a larger pile of steaming horse excrement than could possibly be generated by a thousand Kentucky Derbys.

Hillary’s transparent attempts to play the “women’s card,” as opponent Donald Trump calls it, is childish in the extreme. She’s a practiced liar, but she’s proving the old nostrum wrong: practice doesn’t make perfect. First off, nobody goes to a campaign event to inform the first major party female presidential candidate of their own sexism. This would be equivalent to Barack Obama saying in 2008 that his own crowds say they wouldn’t vote for a black guy. Idiotic.

Then there’s the utterly barefaced attempt to rope the writer, Rebecca Traister, into her sob story: “Unpacking this, understanding it, is for writers like you.” But Hillary, being terrible at everything from marriage to politics, couldn’t leave well enough alone. She continued, “[It’s] a fear that ambition will crowd out everything else – relationships, marriage, children, family, homemaking, all the other parts [of life] that are important to me and important to most women I know. We’re so accustomed to think of women’s ambition being made manifest in ways that we don’t approve of, or that we find off-putting.” She said men don’t like “the competition. Like if you do this, there won’t be room for some of us, and that’s not fair.”

Again, bull.

Nobody is worried about Hillary Clinton driving them out of the job market. In fact, it’s women complaining that they’re not paid as much as men specifically because they choose different career paths. As to Hillary’s bizarre argument that her ambition runs counter to prevailing notions of womanhood, her ambition may – after all, she allegedly threatens her husband’s alleged rape victim.

But Hillary’s the real victim. And everybody who disagrees just can’t see the truth. Which is why she has to make the truth up out of wholecloth, then narrate it for the poor saps. No wonder Americans resonate to Donald Trump’s rip on Hillary: “The only thing she’s got is the woman card. That’s all she’s got, and it is pandering. It’s a weak card in her hands. In another person’s hands it could be a powerful card. I’d love to see a woman president, but she’s the wrong person.”

She certainly is.
