Judicial Watch has called for the transcripts of Special Counsel Robert Hur’s interviews with Joe Biden.

On Monday, Judicial Watch announced they are suing the Department of Justice (DOJ) for records of all of Hur’s interview with the sitting president. This includes “all transcripts, audio recordings, and video recordings of all interviews of President Biden conducted during the course of the investigation led by Special Counsel Robert Hur.”
“The Biden Justice Department needs to stop protecting Joe Biden, follow the law, and release the transcript and any recordings of his interviews,” Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton said.
In the report which was released to the public on February 5th, the special counsel referred to Biden as a “sympathetic, well-meaning elderly man with a poor memory.”
“We have also considered that, at trial, Mr. Biden would likely present himself to a jury, as he did during our interview of him, as a sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory. Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt. It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him-by then a former president well into his eighties-of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness,” the report stated.
Hur’s description was met with intense criticism from the White House. Biden has denied that he shared classified information regarding military and foreign policy in Afghanistan when he was a private citizen. Additionally, the president lashed out at the reports describing his mental state.
“My memory is fine,” Biden said.
The lawsuit comes as a result of the DOJ failing to adhere to a request by Judicial Watch from early February.
