TODAY’S PASSAGE

I can now see how events unfolded against my life plan. My life is laid open here — raw experiences first, understanding later. Now comes the review phase, as Peace helps clarify the reasons and the outcomes. This is something usually experienced after death, though there is more to this story, and it may relate to the choices of those reading it now. In marriage, communication becomes the means by which two lives are shaped together. Through conversation, confrontation, and reconciliation, understanding is formed. These exchanges allow each person to encounter the human experience more fully — its strain, its beauty, and its depth — alongside another. I had always been intentional about communicating with the voice and open to its presence. I was committed to understanding it. Still, I felt unsatisfied, because I wanted to share this gift of communication with Emily while we were living aboard Billows Rage. I already knew Emily was sensitive to visions and dreams.
REFLECTION
What if we didn’t have to wait until the end of our lives to understand what our lives have meant? This passage offers us something extraordinary: the possibility of experiencing a “life review” while we’re still living it. Michael describes how Peace—the divine voice—helps him see the pattern, the purpose, the reasons behind what seemed like random or painful experiences. Clarity can arrive while we still have time to live differently, love deeper, and align ourselves more fully with the purpose woven into our story.
