TODAY’S PASSAGE

From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:

Lord Jesus… after all we’ve spoken about — fear and listening, truth and endurance, grace

REFLECTION

There’s something beautifully intimate about this moment of pause, isn’t there? It’s as if the speaker is taking a breath, looking back over a deep conversation with Jesus, and marveling at everything they’ve covered together. Fear and listening. Truth and endurance. Grace. These aren’t just religious concepts—they’re the very landscape of our daily lives. They’re what we wrestle with when we wake up anxious at 3 a.m., when we’re trying to hear wisdom through the noise, when we’re deciding whether to speak up or stay silent, when we’re barely hanging on, and when we desperately need mercy for ourselves or others.

What strikes me most is that this isn’t a one-way lecture. It’s a conversation. “After all we’ve spoken about” suggests a dialogue, a relationship where both parties are engaged. Jesus isn’t distant or disconnected from these struggles—He’s right there in the middle of them with us, talking them through, listening to our confusion, offering His perspective. How often do we forget that our spiritual life is meant to be conversational? That we can actually talk with Jesus about our fears, that He wants to teach us how to truly listen, that He understands what it takes to endure, and that His grace is always the answer we’re searching for?

This passage reminds us that faith isn’t about having all the answers or never struggling. It’s about staying in the conversation. It’s about bringing our fears to Jesus instead of hiding them. It’s about learning to listen when everything in us wants to run. It’s about clinging to truth when lies feel more comfortable. It’s about enduring one more day, one more hour, one more moment. And it’s about grace—always grace—covering everything we can’t fix or figure out on our own. The conversation with Jesus is ongoing, and He’s never tired of talking with you.

THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…

Today, I invite you to pause and reflect: What would you say to Jesus if you were looking back over your recent conversations with Him? Which of these themes—fear, listening, truth, endurance, or grace—is most alive in your heart right now? He’s ready to keep talking with you about it.
