On Friday morning, the pair sat down together to discuss Trump’s stance on the war in Eastern Europe.

Zelensky said that it’s important to share all the steps with Trump so that a decision can be made after the election if he retakes the White House.

Trump said that a new Trump administration would work diligently with both sides to end the war, adding that the terrible situation needs to end.

“We have a very good relationship, and I also have a very good relationship, as you know, with President Putin. And I think if we win, we’re going to get it resolved very quickly,” the 45th president said.

Zelensky said he had a “meaningful” meeting with Trump. He added that the duo shares a “common view that war in Ukraine must be stopped.”
