TODAY’S PASSAGE

I drove out in a follow-me truck and arrived in time to see a group of VIPs deplane. Later I learned they were reporters. Then I saw an old friend, Sergeant Garcia from Peterson Field, step down from the aircraft. I asked if I could hitch a ride. He ducked back into the aircraft to speak with the pilot and returned with a thumbs-up. Excited, I told him I needed a few minutes to grab my duffel bag and asked if they could taxi over to flight operations in ten minutes. The pilot agreed, and I ran for my bag. It was a perfect moment. The white T-39 rolled up to flight operations, steps lowering directly in front of the building. The operations staff clearly expected VIP movement. Without hesitation, I walked up, tossed my bag onboard, and turned to see the familiar lieutenant standing behind me, his face flushed with anger.
REFLECTION
Have you ever experienced a moment when everything just seemed to fall into place—when an old friend appeared at exactly the right time, when doors opened that you hadn’t even knocked on? This passage captures one of those beautiful instances when divine timing orchestrates circumstances beyond our control. The author didn’t plan to see Sergeant Garcia that day. He didn’t schedule this flight. Yet there he was, in the right place at the right moment, with the courage to simply ask for what he needed.
What strikes me most is the boldness required to seize the opportunity. When the thumbs-up came, the author didn’t hesitate or second-guess. He ran for his bag. He walked up those steps with confidence, even though he wasn’t technically a VIP. Sometimes faith calls us to act decisively when grace opens a door—not with arrogance, but with trust that we’re meant to walk through it. How often do we miss our blessings because we’re too timid to ask, too afraid to move quickly, or too convinced we don’t belong in spaces where love is making room for us?
Of course, the lieutenant’s angry face reminds us that not everyone will celebrate when we step into our divine appointments. Opposition doesn’t mean we’ve made a mistake—sometimes it confirms we’re exactly where we’re supposed to be. When you’re walking in alignment with love’s guidance, you don’t need everyone’s approval. You need only to trust that the same force that brought you to the door will see you through whatever comes next.
THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…
Today, ask yourself: What door is opening in front of me that I’m afraid to walk through? Where is divine timing trying to move me forward, and what old friend or unexpected opportunity might be the sign I’ve been waiting for? Trust that when love orchestrates the moment, you’re meant to board the plane.
