I was speeding toward destiny; success was assured. Why was it necessary to change jobs just as I had made a name for myself? Your use of the word destiny is appropriate. At times in your life, you were asked to demonstrate faith in action — not safety, not certainty, but trust. This was one of those moments. By following the voice within, you continued the path laid before you, even when outward logic suggested otherwise. This was a high point in my life looking backward. But this happened in real time, and this young woman who was to be my wife turned out to be true. Was this planned before we were born? Emily’s commitment to be your wife and mother of your son, helpmate in the coming years was the unspoken reason for this union. Her role was to assist you in maintaining camouflage — to live within your means and to keep success from going to your head. Whenever you tried to step out of line, Emily was there to bring you back.
