TODAY’S PASSAGE

From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:

We gathered what we needed and drove to the Sleepy Hollow Motel, where everything had already been prepared. Word spread quickly. People began arriving — mostly out of curiosity sparked by the stories we had shared with guests and family alike. Many knew about Emily’s vision: that our son would be born on November 3, 1978, at exactly 8:00 p.m. He showed up sometime between 7:00 and 7:30 p.m. The birth unfolded exactly as predicted — calm, orderly, and precise. I was the first person our son saw. Justin was born bright-eyed, alert, and smiling — more aware than any newborn I had ever read about. There was no blood. His body was covered in a fine white powder. I cut the cord and brought him to Emily. He immediately looked up at her, smiled, and giggled.

REFLECTION

There are moments in life when the veil between heaven and earth grows thin, when the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and when we witness something so profound that it changes us forever. This passage captures one of those sacred moments—a birth that was more than just a biological event, but a divine appointment. Emily’s vision wasn’t just a hopeful prediction; it was a glimpse into God’s perfect orchestration. And while Justin arrived a bit earlier than the exact minute predicted, the essence of the vision was fulfilled with breathtaking precision. Sometimes God’s answers come exactly as we expect, and sometimes they arrive in His perfect timing, which is always better than our own.

What strikes me most about this passage is the atmosphere of peace and wonder that surrounded Justin’s arrival. In a world where birth is often associated with pain, chaos, and uncertainty, this child entered the world smiling, alert, and covered in what can only be described as a heavenly sign. No blood—just purity. Not crying—but giggling. This wasn’t just Michael and Emily’s experience; it was a testimony for everyone who gathered, drawn by curiosity but witnesses to a miracle. How often do we dismiss the stories others share about God’s movement in their lives? Yet when we show up with open hearts, even out of curiosity, we might just encounter the divine ourselves.

This passage reminds us that God is intimately involved in the details of our lives. He doesn’t just care about the big picture; He orchestrates the precise moments, the specific times, the exact encounters that will bring His purposes to pass. When we align ourselves with His voice—as Emily did through her vision—we position ourselves to experience miracles. And when those miracles unfold, they don’t just bless us; they become beacons of hope for everyone around us. Justin’s birth wasn’t a private affair; it was a public declaration that God still speaks, still moves, and still brings heaven to earth through those who believe.

THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…

Today, I’m reminded that God’s timing is perfect, even when it doesn’t match my expectations to the minute. What vision has He placed in your heart? What promise are you waiting to see fulfilled? Trust that He is preparing everything, and when the moment arrives, it will be more beautiful than you imagined.
