TODAY’S PASSAGE

From “Voice Of Jesus 2” by Michael Canfield:

For the first time in a long while, I wanted help — honestly and without excuse. I asked for guidance and meant it.

REFLECTION

There’s something profoundly liberating about the moment we stop pretending we have it all together. How many times have we asked for help while secretly holding back, hedging our bets, keeping one foot out the door? We mouth the words of prayer or reach out halfheartedly, but deep down we’re still clinging to our own plans, our own control. This passage captures that rare and sacred moment when all the pretense falls away—when we finally, truly, honestly want help.

The phrase “without excuse” hits differently when you really sit with it. No more “but I’ve tried everything” or “this probably won’t work anyway.” No more bargaining or conditional surrender. Just pure, authentic openness to receiving guidance. This is the doorway that love has been waiting for us to walk through. Not because God withholds help until we get desperate enough, but because only when we’re truly open can we actually receive what’s been offered all along.

What changes in that moment of genuine asking? Everything and nothing. The circumstances might stay the same, but we become different. We become available. We become teachable. We step out of our own way and allow divine love to flow through the cracks in our armor. This is where transformation begins—not in having all the answers, but in finally being ready to receive them.

THIS SPEAKS TO ME BECAUSE…

Today, ask yourself: Am I truly open to help, or am I still making excuses and holding back? What would it feel like to ask for guidance and really, deeply mean it—to surrender without conditions and trust that love is already answering?
