On Tuesday evening, two SWAT armored vehicles departed the Pima County Sheriff’s Department parking lot, heading to an undisclosed location. Deputies were observed loading shields and other tactical gear into the vehicles prior to departure.
According to two sources who reached out to Fox News, the deployment is believed to be connected to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of 84-year-old Nancy Guthrie.
The exact destination remains unclear, and this marks the first observed movement of these vehicles since the case began nine days earlier.
Additional activity included apparent deployments of Bomb Squad and Command Center vehicles, amid heightened efforts following the FBI’s recent release of surveillance footage showing a masked, armed individual tampering with Guthrie’s doorbell camera.
This development follows reports of police activity in the Tucson neighborhood where Guthrie’s eldest daughter, Annie, resides.
Earlier in the day, the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) released images and videos captured by a camera outside of the 84-year-old’s home on the night that she was abducted.
The individual on film is seen wearing a mask and carrying a backpack and/or tools.
