‘Their parents should have asked for their money back!’

College students love to give their opinions on political issues, and some at East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains had plenty of negative reaction to President Donald Trump’s 2026 State of the Union address.

Unfortunately, they were asked about the speech on Monday, Feb. 23, one day BEFORE the speech was actually given by the president on Tuesday, Feb. 24. Reporter Brecca Stoll of the Daily Wire sought their opinions on event that had not even happened.

Some online reaction includes:

“The fact that they are lying instead of saying I didn’t watch it is disgraceful and mommy and daddy should have done a better job.”

“None of them can say why, talk about not being ‘articulate.’ Never mind it hasn’t even happened yet.”

“God help us. America’s future leaders: dunking on speeches that haven’t happened yet.”

“What’s even more scary is that they are allowed to vote. Our country will be ruined by uneducated people.”

“That is further evidence of university failure. If there is one thing college students should be devoted to, it’s objective reality. Critical thinking. Intellectual discipline, intellectual rigor. This is pure brain slop.”

“Wow, lie instead of admitting they did not see it. Modern education is like this. Fake it till you make it.”

“What’s crazy is how easily they lie … I mean they don’t even hesitate. It just rolls off their tongue.”
