The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced recalls on roughly 1.9 million products that were sold or distributed through the Amazon website and other locations in the past week.

Persilux Zebra Blinds
On Thursday, the agency said that Persilux Zebra Blinds were recalled because they “have long operating cords that can cause death or serious injury to children due to strangulation and entanglement hazards.”
According to the CPSC, the blinds violate federal rules on window coverings and create a “substantial product hazard” while also violating labeling requirements.
Around 133,000 units are under recall and were sold in beige, black, dark gray, light gray, and white, with sizes ranging from 22 to 73 inches wide and 64 to 72 inches high, the notice said. X003FFPT63 is printed on the barcode, and “Persilux” and “Zebra Blinds” are printed on the packaging, the CPSC said.
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled blinds and contact Persilux for a free repair kit, including shipping. The repair kit consists of a replacement operating cord wand and installation instructions,” the notice said
Oster French Door Countertop Ovens
Also on Thursday, the CPSC said that nearly 1.3 million Oster French Door Countertop Ovens were recalled across the United States because “the oven’s doors can unexpectedly close, posing a burn hazard to consumers.”
“Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled countertop ovens and contact Sunbeam Products Inc. to receive a free repair kit,” the CPSC said.
Anker Power Banks
A week ago, a recall was announced for 481,000 power banks made by the brand Anker because the lithium battery may overheat, posing a potential fire and burn risk, according to the agency.
Three models are under recall: Anker Power Bank (20,000mAh, 22.5W, Built-In USB-C Cable)—Model A1647; Anker MagGo Power Bank (10,000mAh, 7.5W)—Model A1652; Anker Power Bank (10K, 22.5W)—Model A1257; Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C and Lightning Cable)—Model A1681; and Anker Zolo Power Bank (20K, 30W, Built-In USB-C Cable)—Model A1689.
LXDHSTRA Baby Loungers
On Sept. 18, the CPSC said that around 360 LXDHSTRA-branded baby loungers that were sold on Amazon have several rule violations, such as a too-thick sleeping pad that poses a suffocation risk, too-low sides, and wider than normal openings that pose a fall hazard.
“Also, the baby loungers do not have a stand, posing a fall hazard if it is used on elevated surfaces. These violations create an unsafe sleeping environment for infants and can cause death or serious injury to infants,” the agency said.
IcyBreeze Buddy Portable Fan
Around 22,600 IcyBreeze Buddy Portable Misting Fans were recalled because the fan could overheat as it charges, posing a fire hazard, according to a notice on Sept. 18.
YooxArmor Children’s Helmets
The CPSC said last week that some 1,780 children’s helmets are now under recall.
“The recalled kids’ helmets violate the mandatory safety standard for bicycle helmets because the helmets do not comply with the impact attenuation, positional stability, labeling and certification requirements,” the agency said. “The helmets can fail to protect the user in the event of a crash, posing a serious risk of injury or death due to head injury.”
Customers are advised not to use the Chinese-made helmet and to send photos of the product to the company through its email.
EnHomee 13-Drawer Dressers
On the same day, the CPSC announced a recall of 11,200 EnHomee 13-Drawer Dressers because they could be “unstable if they are not anchored to the wall, posing tip-over and entrapment hazards that can result in serious injuries or death to children.”
Youbeien Crib Mobiles
Another children’s product, Youbeien Crib Mobiles, was recalled because they “violate the mandatory standard for toys containing button batteries because the compartment that holds the batteries in the remote can be accessed without the use of a common household tool,” said the CPSC.
If the batteries are swallowed, they can cause serious internal injuries, chemical burns, and death, the agency warned.
About 3,000 of the mobiles, which were made in China, are under recall. They were sold only through Amazon for around $20.
