Florida’s attorney general has revoked the license of a labor and delivery nurse who wished pregnant White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt to suffer a severe birth injury.

Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on Wednesday that Alexis Lawler has lost her nursing license in Florida after the state Board of Nursing filed an ‘emergency suspension order’ against her.

The Uthmeier argued that it crossed ethical lines for the nurse to use her clinical role to wish pain on others.

Additionally, she was fired from job as a labor and delivery nurse at Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital.

“The comments made in a social media video by a nurse at one of our facilities do not reflect our values or the standards we expect of healthcare professionals,” a spokesperson for the hospital said in a statement.

Lawler is facing disciplinary action due to her comments in a viral TikTok video in which she said she hoped Leavitt, who recently announced her second pregnancy, would suffer a fourth-degree tear while giving birth.

“As a labor and delivery nurse, it gives me great joy to wish Karoline Leavitt a fourth-degree tear,” she stated in the video.

A GoFundMe for the now-former nurse has already raised more than $10,000 to support her legal battle. The fundraiser claims she was punished for protected political speech.
