President Donald Trump, along with Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth and First Lady Melania Trump attended the dignified transfer for the six U.S. soldiers who were killed in Kuwait.
On Saturday in Dover, Delaware, the president attended a solemn ceremony as their remains were returned to U.S. soil.
There was no audio in the video feed out of respect for the fallen service members. Family members were also in attendance, but media ground rules strictly prohibited filming or photographing them to protect their privacy and honor their grief.
On Tuesday, the U.S. Department of War released the names of the first four U.S. Army Reserve soldiers killed during “Operation Epic Fury” after an Iranian drone struck their tactical operations center at Port Shuaiba in Kuwait. The soldiers were identified as Capt. Cody A. Khork, Sgt. 1st Class Noah L. Tietjens, Sgt. 1st Class Nicole M. Amor, and Sgt. Declan J. Coady.
The final two Army Reserve soldiers killed in the attack were identified as Maj. Jeffrey R. O’Brien and Chief Warrant Officer 3 Robert M. Marzan on Wednesday.
