In a stunning move that you basically NEVER see, a far-left Democrat Representative decided to reach across the aisle in an effort to support one of President Donald Trump’s policies… while the GOP sits on their hands and does absolutely nothing!
Rep. Ro Khanna, (D-CA) announced on Wednesday that he was introducing legislation to codify Trump’s recent executive order slashing the cost of prescription drugs in America.
The order, announced by Trump earlier in the week, forces Big Pharma companies to treat the United States FAIRLY and stop charging us more than they do other countries for prescription drugs.
According to Trump, the order will reduce the cost of these medicines in America by as much as 80%!
The Democrat Rep. introduced the legislation to make this order a law, without making any changes to the order itself – a truly bi-partisan decision.
Rep. Khanna said, “Today, I am introducing legislation to codify President Trump’s executive order, ensuring Americans do not pay more than people in other countries for drugs. Will Congress members stand with $16 billion in Big Pharma money, or with the American people by co-sponsoring this bipartisan legislation?”
And while this Trump-hating Democrat is willing to admit that this is something GOOD for the American people… the Republican majority in Congress is completely SILENT!
But of course, that’s pretty much par for the course these days considering that this current GOP majority in Congress has sent fewer bills to the president than any single congress in the past 70 years!
